

Challenge
Eneraque has designed and developed engineered power generation solutions since 1981, with operations across Australia and New Zealand. Eneraque was engaged to design and construct an emergency power system for a new health facility within The Prince Charles Hospital precinct in Brisbane, Queensland's premier cardiac hospital and home to services including heart and lung transplants and complex cardiac care. The scope covered a new generator, exhaust system, and fuel facility.
The designated power room came with strict physical dimensions that ruled out a standard fuel tank sized to deliver the running time the building specifications required. Fitting a generator and fuel tank into a constrained room is a challenge worth planning for early (read more on designing your power supply room). For Eneraque, the answer was a custom-built, fire-rated fuel tank engineered to fit the exact space available.
Solution
Fuelchief proposed a custom-built SuperVault SVR-1400, sized to fit the designated space while still meeting the fuel capacity needed for the required run time. It also gave Eneraque an environmentally compliant solution suited to a critical healthcare building.
Fuelchief worked closely with Eneraque and their client throughout the process, providing drawings and revisions as the design was finalised, and maintaining clear communication on lead time and delivery once the tank was ordered.
Result
The SuperVault SVR-1400 was delivered to site on schedule, helping Eneraque complete the project on time and on budget. Their client signed off on the finished work.
